At last, we've reached the last part! The only thing left is Christ Church, which was basically the last thing we saw. We actually planned to do more things, but we ended up spending hours and hours here (mostly because there was so much to see, but partly also because the entrance fees for these places are so expensive that, once you pay, you want to make the most of it!)

Y acá está el comedor, también presente en las películas de Harry Potter. El comedor de Hogwarts fue construido como una réplica de este, aunque bastante más grande.
And here's the diningh hall, also present in the Harry Potter movies. The Hogwarts dining room was built as a replica of this one, only quite a bit larger.

Saliendo del comedor, una puerta donde se lee un graffiti que dice "No Peel". Leí dos diferentes interpretaciones de lo que quiere decir. La primera es que se refiere a Robert Peel, primer ministro durante en la década de 1820, y que es en contra de las medidas para la emancipación de los católicos. La segunda (y la que haciendo un google aparece más), es que viene del siglo XVII, cuando el doctor de la universidad decretó que los estudiantes debían comer cáscaras de papa (cáscara se dice "peel" en inglés), como forma de prevenir la peste bubónica. Y finalmente los estudiantes se pudrieron de cáscaras de papa y protestaron!
Coming out of the dining hall, a door where you can see a graffiti reading "No Peel". I've read two different interpretations of what this refers to. The first is that it relates to Robert Peel, Prime Minister in the 1820s and that it's a protest against the Catholic emancipation measures his government passed. The second (and the one which seems more prevalent doing a casual google search) is that it "dates back to the 17th century when the college doctor prescribed potato peels as a means of warding off the Black Death. After many breakfasts and dinners of plates of potato peels, the students finally protested".
Esto es a la salida del dining hall, y se llama Tom Quad. Quad es por cuadrángulo, que es la forma de esta área, y Tom porque la torre esa que se ve atrás mío es Tom Tower, a su vez llamada así porque la campana que alberga se llama Great Tom.
This is coming out of the dining hall, and it's call Tom Quad. Quad is because this area is a quadrangle and Tom because that tower you see behind me is Tom Tower, in turned named like that because it houses a bell called Great Tom.
